The Justin C Haeger 10 Miler is a race in honor of our brother/son who passed away on Easter Sunday 2006 to a prescription drug overdose (methadone). We want to bring awareness to the public about prescription drug abuse among our young people. It has become an epidemic in our community. Justin was one of many who died from this in 2006 but he is the one we, of course, will miss the most. He had a charismatic personality that made a huge impact on those around him and his engaging smile will be remembered forever. His life was cut short, and by bringing this issue to light we hope to spare other families the pain and heartache.
